My name is Anthony Looney, and all I have ever wanted in this life is to make a difference. I was called to become a nurse- to heal the sick and advocate for the vulnerable. As an intensive care nurse & practitioner I have helped people breathe when they could not catch their breath. I have controlled people’s pain when they described it as unbearable.  I am proud to serve in a role that has enabled me to help the people of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, & now I am being called to heal in another way.  

My motivation for running in this election is simple. Republican leadership have now caused devastating pain to our communities. I can no longer stand back & watch as my neighbors lose their jobs, struggle to afford food, and struggle to afford medicine. I have been a healer my entire life, and I will advocate in Frankfort to heal the damages that have been done to all Kentuckians by the current Republican super-majority.    

What are my promises to Kentucky voters? I was born and raised in the mountains of Kentucky, & I understand the grit and determination that defines our people. We are a hard-working, resilient community, and I’m committed to protecting the working class by prioritizing worker safety, fostering economic growth, making food affordable, and ensuring healthcare is accessible for all. These aren’t partisan issues—they’re the everyday concerns of working families.

Folks, I’m not just crazy about Kentucky; I am Looney for Kentucky.
