Anthony Looney is a Nurse Practitioner, first-generation college graduate and lifelong Kentuckian who believes that no family should have to struggle for a better, brighter future.

Born in Pike County to a coal-mining family, Anthony’s life, education and career has been shaped by working people, and it’s those values he’ll take to Frankfort to ensure every family has access to a good job, affordable healthcare, quality public education and a safe community to call home.

What does Anthony Support?

Affordable Healthcare

Recent federal cuts and the failure of the current KY legislature to pass an adequate budget is unacceptable. Kentuckians shouldn’t have to go to bed at night wondering if they can afford their medicine.

Public Education

Kentucky’s children deserve a quality education. Like all Kentuckians, our teachers should earn a living wage working one job. This is not radical, it is common sense.

Housing Crisis

Too long has Frankfort left the issue of affordable housing unaddressed. Now, many within my generation are well into their 40’s and still unable to afford their first home. Legislation must be enacted to prioritize building affordable housing as well as bringing down the price of homes.

Working Class Values

Anthony Looney comes from a working class, coal-mining family from Eastern Kentucky. He understands the importance of strong unions to protect workers, their families and their communities. He is proudly endorsed by the AFL-CIO and will fight for the working class families of Kentucky.
